I was compelled to keep reading your articles, very interested in visiting your small beach front town. I grew up in one at Puerto Rico, now when I visit the island, I am so disappointed with crime and comericialization of its now society.

Rapidly reaching muturity (56) I am looking at living in a place similar to that what you so elegantly describe.

I have worked all of my adult life, with a successful military career culminating as a Command Sergeant Major with the US Army, then grabbing another candle as an Emergency Manager for FEMA for the last 8 years.

I am so tired of the hussle and rat race, ready to hang up the hat and enjoy the rest of my natural life.

Please send me a note if your desire correspondence.

PS. I love fishing! Best past time in the world.. would not miss my blackberry, IPAD tablet, or the internet not one second...

It's so important to share these gems when you find them, as they are so rare with the usual bias and slant that Mexico is usually portrayed in the US media. Thank you!

Hi Tony,

Did you mean to say 1% of 4000 instead of 40,000? Another good article is <a href="http://www.mexicomike.com/safety/safety-UsStateDepartment.html" rel="nofollow">Safety in Mexico Since 2008</a>

I just found your blog today - thanks so much for spreading the word about the vaquita! We are glad you enjoyed our presentation and we hope to come back to San Felipe in 2012 for more vaquita-related work.
We have an online petition about the vaquita, if you would like to sign it the link is:

Best,

True Darlene... I did add location of yard sale in response to a question, As I am not the sponsor of the events it would be best to look them up on the sponsor's sites for details... just wanted to get the word out so folks would look for them!
