Hi, I’m Susan Young, retired GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional), PPSS (Permits Plus Software Specialist) and COCE (City of Chico Employee). This is my husband, Chuck Bryant, who will soon be joining me in “retirement” and I expect you will see a lot more fabulous hand turned artworks when he doesn’t have to stop for sleep and work hours.
Now, starting Stage 3 of my life as an internet blogger, online entrepreneur, and promoter of struggling artists, I am delving into new frontiers beyond the world wide web to unknown spaces and technological wonders. If I blunder along the way, please be patient with me but don’t hesitate to offer recommendations or advise.
My initial internet activities are focused on those people and things closest to my heart: my daughter, Staci Black, an aspiring artist, my husband, Chuck who will soon be presenting his turning creations online, environmental concerns (see So Where To From Here), surviving the current economic crisis (Cheap Living Tips), my daily efforts to a healthier lifestyle, Thinking About Losing Weight and of course, our home page, From the Deck in San Felipe.
If you need any support or have a question, feedback or suggestion, please free to contact me at susan@fromthedeck.net.

Kind Folks, You have a wonderful site! It’s much more than a bog. San Felipe! I have friends who have places down there (Up by Pete’s Tim W.), been fishing with Tony Reyes (DIP) a ton of times and drank a few cold Tecates at the MiraMar. I’ve spent most of my time in BCS on the Pacific side, surfing fishing ect. and had a place in San Juanico, but sold out – too many Gringos for me! Want to spend more time on the gulf side, when I can make a trip to Gonzaga. Been to Bay of LA and had some good fishing, by the way they have a neat little museo/centro cultural there.
I have a blog here at Blogger, Blogspot or whatever it is, Called “Surfing Solo”, please check it out and I’d be pleased if I could link up with you and vica versa. Please at least read mine and give me some feedback so I can make it better!
Thanks and Congratulations!
Pancho
